Position Highlights:
- Obstetrics and Gynecology Department consists of specialists whose focus is women’s health.
- Responsible for general gynecological medical care for women, but also provide care related to pregnancy and the reproductive system.
- Concerned with the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of general health problems, but you would focus on ailments specific to the female anatomy, such as breast and cervical cancer, urinary tract and pelvic disorders, and hormonal disorders.
- focus would include treating and counseling women throughout their pregnancy, from giving prenatal diagnoses and postpartum care.
- The role of the gynecological APC provider at Kelsey Seybold spans the adult lifetime of woman’s care and needs
- Complete obstetrical prenatal care
- Family planning
- Well-woman exams
- Vaccinations and screenings, including gynecological cancer and breast cancer screening.
- Treatment of menstrual disorders, gynecological problems, and menopause
- In-office procedures to your skill level that are common to the practice as they relate to gynecological conditions and needs and contraception.
- The role of the APC would include working closely and in collaboration with your supervising OB/GYN physician in a shared practice model.

Required Qualifications:
- Graduate from an Accredited School of Physician Assistant Studies/Accredited Masters of Science in Nursing program
- Licensed in the State of Texas
- Certification through the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP), American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), or the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA)
Compensation for this specialty generally ranges from $104,500- $156,000. Total cash compensation includes base pay and bonus and is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience and may increase over time based on productivity and performance in the role. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
